Here some information about the travel I did two years ago to Bárcena.
Bárcena is a place with lots of visitors a years because is wonderful and a bit unreal, it's located near a valley by the river Argoza, in Cantabria, it has few habitants.
It has also a very beautiful mountain, everything there is amazing, you shouldn't miss them. There is a National Reservation of Hunting from Saja very important. You can also do an attractive hiking seeing all the nature.
I recommend you go to have lunch in some restaurants: La Solana, Río Argoza and La Franca, where there offer the typical "cocido montañés", but you can also eat pork etc
I recommend that to sleep in "La Posada" near "La Franca" too. There are many double rooms, with internet connection. It's very rural and elegant, I show it in some images:
